How to Print Your NYSC Call-Up Letter (and What to Check on It)

Your call-up letter is the document that tells you where you have been deployed and admits you to orientation camp. Without it, registration at camp becomes difficult. The NYSC makes it available on each prospective corps member's dashboard during the call-up printing window on the mobilisation timetable.

Here is how to get it, check it and keep it safe.

When can you print it?

The NYSC mobilisation timetable includes a stage called "Notification and Printing of Call-up Letters by PCMs" (prospective corps members). The dates change for every batch and stream, so check the current NYSC mobilisation timetable on the official website, and read our latest NYSC updates for the current batch.

How to print your call-up letter

1. Go to the official NYSC portal — the registration portal linked from the NYSC website (portal.nysc.org.ng). Avoid links shared on social media that do not lead to the official portal.
2. Log in to your dashboard with the email and password you used for registration. The NYSC advises every registrant to keep their login details for subsequent use.
3. Open the call-up letter option. Printing of call-up letters is one of the self-services the NYSC lists on the prospective corps member's dashboard.
4. Download and save it as a PDF on your phone and email it to yourself.
5. Print it — at least one clean copy, preferably two, on good-quality paper.

If the portal is busy, try again at a quieter time rather than paying anyone who claims they can "speed it up". Printing is done from your own dashboard.

What to check on your call-up letter

Read it carefully before you travel. Check:

• Your name, spelt correctly and in the right order
• Your course of study and qualification
• Your state of deployment — this determines your orientation camp
• Your call-up number
• Reporting instructions printed on the letter

What if something is wrong?

The NYSC lists several corrections as dashboard self-services, including correction of name spelling mistakes, date of birth, course of study, class of degree and qualification. Some corrections, such as course of study, are approved by your institution's Student Affairs Officer, so contact them if a request is pending.

Note that the NYSC states it does not approve the addition or removal of names — only corrections to spelling or arrangement.

Keep it safe

• Keep the printed letter in a waterproof folder in your hand luggage.
• Keep photocopies separately.
• Keep the PDF on your phone and in your email.
